Tambo del Inka Resort & Spa, Valle Sagrado – Peru
I’ve been to Peru only once but I have to say that out of all the destinations that I have travelled to, this is the first at the top of my list to return to. There are so many unexplored areas in this country that I have not visited and I’m astounded by the amount of luxury resorts that are available for travellers who are looking for luxurious comfort by night and adventure by day.
This week I’ve chosen the Tambo del Inka Resort & Spa in Peru. For those of you starting off your life together as husband and wife, why not be inspired and take a journey to a destination that has so much to offer you in culture, history and adventure. Located in the mountains and on the way to Machu Picchu, this resort has its own private train station which makes it very accommodating to those wanting to get around and explore.
With 128 rooms to choose from, 12 of these are suites which are great for honeymooners wanting to splurge and spend a little extra for butler service. Each room has astounding views of the valley which is an incredible way to start day. The views alone are inviting enough for people wanting to return to this majestic resort. A fully equipped state of the art fitness center, business center, pool, and spa are just some of the amenities on site. Can you imagine going for a spa treatment and taking in the scenic views of the Sacred Valley? Your senses will be enlightened when ingredients used by the Incas will leave you feeling invigorated.
There are many adventures that you can take while staying here. Visit Machu Picchu on a private train that leaves directly from the resort. Go to Ollantaytambo which is the only Inca city in Peru that is inhabited. The salt mines of Maras which are located just on the outskirts of Cusco or visit the City of Cusco which is inhabited with culture, shopping, history, and lots of adventure sports.
